Lumana is a cozy walking companion game operated by Lumana Team (“we,” “us,” or “our”). In Lumana, you choose a virtual buddy, set a daily step goal, manually log completed walks, earn XP, complete quests, build streaks, and care for your buddy with virtual snacks and toys.
This Privacy Policy explains how Lumana handles information in connection with the Lumana mobile application (the “App”). By using Lumana, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Lumana is designed to keep your game experience on your device. Your nickname, optional profile photo, buddy name, manually logged step progress, quests, streaks, favorites, bag items, and related preferences are stored locally on your device.
The current version of Lumana does not require a cloud account, does not sync game data to Lumana Team servers, and does not use advertising or tracking technologies for ads.

If you contact us by email, we may receive the information you voluntarily include in that message so we can respond.
Information we do not automatically collect
The current version of Lumana does not automatically collect or transmit device identifiers, location data, HealthKit data, motion or fitness sensor step counts, advertising identifiers, analytics events, crash reports, microphone audio, or App Tracking Transparency tracking data to Lumana Team.
Displayed step progress in Lumana is added when you manually log a completed walk. Lumana does not currently request or import steps from Apple Health, Core Motion, GPS, or other sensors. Lumana is an entertainment and motivation App, not a medical or clinical measurement tool.
If you choose to set a profile photo, Lumana may use the camera or the system photo picker only after you take that action. The selected image is stored locally on your device for display in your profile.
Lumana does not upload your profile image to our servers, does not use it for facial recognition or biometric identification, and does not use it for advertising or model training.
We do not sell your personal information.
Because game data stays on your device, the App does not transmit your locally stored profile or progress to Lumana Team or to advertising partners.
Information you voluntarily send by email may be disclosed only with your direction, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Lumana Team, our users, or others.
Local profile and game data remain on your device until you use Reset Local Data, uninstall the App, or erase the relevant device data. Email support communications are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, keep records, or comply with law.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction related to personal information we hold from support emails by contacting us. You may also revoke camera or photo access in device settings.
Lumana is intended for users aged 17 and older and is not directed to children. If you believe a person under 17 has sent personal information to us through a support email, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
The App may open links to this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement in an external browser. Third-party websites or services have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for practices outside our control.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date or Last Updated date above. Continued use of Lumana after an update means you accept the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
